- Our small, family ranch provides Angus cross beef available as locker beef (1/4, 1/2, or whole) as well as ground beef/ hamburger by the pound. Locker beef can be cut to order when pre-ordered, but we often have locker beef on hand as well. Locker beef includes steaks, roasts, ribs, ground beef, etc. Locker Beef is $2.40 per hanging weight plus processing (~$0.75), which usually works out to about $500 per quarter total depending on individual animal. Ground Beef/ Hamburger is currently $3.50 per pound
